We can't do it without you!

Since 1988, we've partnered with animal lovers like you to protect dogs and cats in our community. Together we save animals from homelessness, disease and abuse. We provide these services entirely from private donations like yours. We are not affiliated nor do we receive any assistance from the national SPCA. Therefore, your support is critical in helping the Amarillo SPCA continue to provide these important services to our community. No amount is too small and every dollar goes towards providing care for our shelter animals.

There are many different ways to help, please consider donating by choosing any of the options below.

Monetary

We care for approximately 140 dogs and cats every day. Providing shelter, food, vet care and other supplies, as well as maintaining the buildings. Costs continue to grow as we strive to help as many animals as we can. There are several monetary donation options. We need your support!

-Make a PayPal donation

-Make a RECURRING payment-easy to set up while making a PayPal donation

-Call the office to make a credit card donation over the phone (806-622-0555)

-Mail a check to Amarillo SPCA at PO Box 1014, Amarillo TX 79105. Please note 'donation' in the comment line

-Send/deliver a gift card from Pet Supplies Plus, PetSmart, Petco, Walmart, Home Depot or Lowes

Supplies

Caring for over 140 animals daily uses a vast quantity of cleaning supplies, office supplies, food and more. You can shop one of our wish lists and have items delivered or come by our shelter for drop off during our office hours: 12p-5p Tuesday-Saturday.

Please keep us in mind as you clean out your homes this year.

We accept all types of items our animals or facility may need - such as towels, blankets, toys, collars, etc. (New or lightly used, please). We also take household items for our annual garage sale, but please store those items until closer to the sale. If you are not sure about an item please call us (806)-622-0555. Thank you!

Memorials/ Honorariums

Make a financial gift in memory of, or in honor of, a special pet or person. These gifts will be included in the Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter newsletter.

Muttfest

A much loved and well attended Amarillo SPCA fundraising event held mid-May since 1994. It’s family oriented, free and dog-friendly. Participate as a sponsor or vendor. This year’s deadline to be a sponsor is April 1, 2024. Or simply attend and have fun! Shop the various vendors, our SPCA sales table, bid in our silent auction, participate in contests, have a snack from Rudy’s BBQ (and others), get your pet vaccinated and MORE.

Muttfest will be held May19, 2024 from 12-5 at Starlight Ranch.

Sponsor a kennel

An opportunity to ‘care’ for a shelter animal as they await their new home. Thanks to Stacy Callison at Stacy’s Uniforms for spearheading this great program that has multiple levels of support available.

Leave a Legacy

Involves providing a gift from a Charitable Trust, IRA, Life insurance policy, etc., as well as bequests of assets in wills, living trusts, etc. Discuss with your financial planner or lawyer to determine what is appropriate for your circumstances. When ready, please call the office to be put in contact with the appropriate person.

Support a special/large project.

Often done in memory or honor of a special loved one. Previous projects have included: Donation of a van for transportation purposes. Purchase & delivery of a storage box car and removal of the previous old building. Currently we would like to insulate our large dog building and create a double door entry in our cat building. Shop/Gifts

Purchase a hand tied fleece blanket available in large ($30) or small ($10) in a variety of fun animal related prints. T-shirts and sweatshirts also available-ranging in sizes (S-3x). All available at our shelter during office hours Tuesday-Saturday 12p-5p.
